You can find your URA driving permit number by cross checking on the learners, temporary, copy of the original permit or by visiting any Face technologies office near to you and it is free of charge.

Knowing your Uganda driving permit is important when it comes to replacing a lost driving permit. In such a situation, the road and traffic laws in Uganda requires one to run an advertisement in the lost section of the local dailies (newspapers for example Bukedde, Newvision, Rupiny, Monitor, etc).

The advert must indicate the full names of the owner including the driving permit number. The number is also required by the police when it comes to obtaining the To whom it may concern police letter.

Ways to find your Uganda driving permit number

Visiting Face technologies offices

Visit any of the Face Technologies offices countrywide and make a request. You will be asked the reason and of course, if it is a lost permit for example you will say it. You will be asked to confirm things like full names and date of birth. After, the face technologies staff will write for you the permit number.

On the Learners permit

Your permit number is located on the top left of your learners permit. The number located below the bar code is the permit number. If you had kept any copy of your learners aka provisional license, you should be able to find your permit number and use it the way you want.

Temporary driving permit

Just like on the learners, the same number is located on the temporary and in the same location.
